About Modular Housing
Henson Construction is a full service General Contractor for the Modular Housing Industry. We can help you design and permit your project, build it from Demolition through Completion. This includes the site work, concrete whether slab on grade, stem walls or Podium decks, setting of the Modular project, MEP connections and final finishes taking the project through final inspection. We specialize in design-build and taking existing conventional build plans and converting them to Modular.
Execution is key to the success of Modular and one which many have failed. We have an in-house team that has years of experience in erecting Modular construction from the single-family home to the four-story multi-family over Podium deck product.
Subcontractors are also key to our success. We have relationships with subcontractors that span over 20 years all throughout the western United States. These business partners have constructed Modular numerous times and are not afraid of new technology therefore their prices reflect the speed and ease of Modular construction.
Pricing is something that fluxuates from geographical location to geographical location. Typically the client sees an average savings of 10-12% in hard cost savings and 18-20% in soft cost savings from building Modular VS building conventional. A typical 100 unit four-story on Podium deck project built conventionally would take approximately 19 months to construct but with modular we can complete it from start to finish in only 14 months.

How do we achieve this? Henson achieves the level of quality by being involved in the design from conceptual through completion and works very closely with the manufacture of the modular homes to ensure that all specs are adhered to and that the boxes are built square and plum. We also provide a full quality control department that oversees every aspect of the modular building from the start of the chassis through the final paint.
